Christina Makes Pop Music Boring

Right before she came out with her "Back to Basics" album Christina Aguilera claimed that she never wanted to be a pop star and wanted to do more jazzy blues or some bullshit. It clearly was bullshit, because here she is, back to pop music, and this time she can't claim its the industry manipulating her naive ass like she did last time. She should have given up at "Boy I think I'm in Love with You" or whatever that song was from 1998.

The pictures for her new song (or album or whatever) Not Myself Tonight has been making internet rounds for a few weeks, but I've been avoiding them because they look lame. I get it. Shock value. Worked for Lady Gaga so Xtina wants a piece of the action. Don't pretend it's anything else. To be honest, I hate comparing the two videos, because I can't believe I spend precious minutes of my life on garbage like that. But hey. Well....No. No excuse. What am I doing?

Well, while I'm here, I may as well let you know the video came out today. Trying to be all sexy and edgy and "I'm a free bitch, baby" on your innocent asses. Here's a link, if you care. [VIDEO LINK]. I wouldn't suggest watching it. It was lame. I think everyone would agree the video is a combination of trying too hard and truly terrible acting. It takes a lot to add shock value, which is clearly what she was going for. That's sort of what we get from Gaga. She doesn't make it look like she's trying to be shocking. She produces this shit that makes us ask, "What's going on in her brain?". This new video does not have that effect. But listen, all would be forgiven if the song was ok. It's not. It's lame as shit.
